Start with a simple rhombus shape. This will be the outline of your diamond. The rhombus should be symmetrical with all sides of equal length.
At the top and bottom of the rhombus, draw two additional points slightly above and below the rhombus to form a vertical line through the center. These will be the apexes of the diamond.
From the top point, draw two diagonal lines that meet the top corners of the rhombus. Do the same from the bottom point, drawing diagonal lines to meet the bottom corners of the rhombus. These lines create the facets of the diamond.
Refine the shapes by adding additional lines within the diamond to represent different facets. Diamonds have numerous facets, so draw several lines from the top and bottom points towards the sides of the rhombus, creating a more complex geometric shape.
Add shading to give the diamond a three-dimensional look. Shade the facets that would be in shadow and leave the areas that would catch light brighter. Highlighting certain edges can enhance the sparkle effect.
