Starting in spring 2024, the Spreepark Art Space will be hosting a dynamic residency program tailored for interdisciplinary collectives and project-based groups who are not currently based in Berlin. This unique opportunity is set within the enchanting Eierhäuschen, a freshly renovated historic restaurant. This space not only provides a platform for artistic production but also encourages sustainable and social interaction among residents.
Location and Setting
Eierhäuschen is nestled within a nature reserve, offering a tranquil and inspiring environment for creative work. It stands in close proximity to Spreepark, a former amusement park undergoing a transformation into a new public park. This juxtaposition of natural beauty and urban history invites artists to engage in cross-disciplinary reflection and experimentation.
Residency Duration
The residency spans three months, allowing ample time for artists to delve deep into an individual question or artistic project developed specifically for this unique location. This period facilitates the exploration of new artistic perspectives and insights while fostering a profound connection with the surrounding environment, encompassing art, culture, and nature.
Spreepark Art Space’s Mission
Spreepark Art Space is dedicated to the artistic utilisation and examination of Berlin’s public green urban spaces, with a special focus on the former Spreepark amusement park.
