The Happy Accidents of Bob Ross in 10 Pictures

Bob Ross was born on October 29, 1942, in Daytona, Florida. His mother instilled in him a passion for nature. He briefly worked for his father, a carpenter, until enlisting in the Air Force in 1960. He fell in love with painting while stationed in Alaska and eventually perfected the “wet-on-wet” method. When “The Joy of Painting,” Bob’s legendary programme, debuted in 1982, it quickly gained popularity on public television. He gave painting lessons around the United States, motivating numerous students. Bob Ross’s soothing manner and  ASMR-inducing voice have the power to enthral listeners of all ages. Commemorations, parodies, and approved Bob Ross instructors continue to carry on his legacy. In New Smyrna Beach, Florida, you can also see his original artwork at the Bob Ross Workshop.
