What Would our Leaders Look Like if They Hit the Gym? AI has the Answer

Tsuktiben Jamir

One idea has captured society’s collective imagination more than any other in this era of technical advancements: artificial intelligence (AI). AI is becoming increasingly prominent daily, capturing people’s attention and revolutionising industries with its boundless potential. AI has smoothly made its way from the domain of science fiction to our present-day reality. It has grown above its original impression as merely a buzzword to becoming an astonishing force that influences our present and holds the potential to influence our future. The astonishing advancements in AI are stoking our collective curiosity and sense of wonder as we explore the undiscovered frontiers that lie ahead.

From writing songs to creating images out of nothing, AI has also taken over the art scene. Through simple prompts, AI can now create paintings and drawings as well. An AI artist has taken this tool and used his creativity to create a series of exciting portraits.

The world is familiar with names like Abraham Lincoln, Isaac Newton, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Rabindranath Tagore. Despite the strength of their beliefs, advocacy, and thoughts, these individuals had unimpressive physiques. However, this was what an AI artist decided to change. He imagined how these international personalities would look if they hit the gym and created a series of exciting images.

Lincoln, Einstein, Gandhi, Tagore, Vincent Van Gogh, Nikola Tesla, Newton, Karl Marx, and Shakespeare are among the historical figures shown in the series, created by a digital artist going by the Instagram handle @sahixd. A prompt-based AI art tool called Midjourney was used to create these portraits. People worldwide enjoyed these portraits, and they have garnered thousands of likes.

Midjourney uses its cutting-edge AI algorithms to revolutionise the process of creating art. It examines various styles and discovers patterns from massive creative datasets. A real-time suggestion, variation, or modification tool, it can be used by artists to submit their own creations or ideas. It helps discover fresh aesthetic vistas, attempt new looks, and enhance compositions. Midjourney inspires creativity and broadens artistic perspectives by offering AI-driven insights and collaboration opportunities, empowering artists to push the boundaries of their medium and produce fascinating and ground-breaking artwork.

The same AI artist uploaded a similar AI art series featuring millionaires working out earlier this month. The series featured business tycoons working out hard in the gym, which included Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Jack Ma, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Mukesh Ambani, and Ratan Tata.

This shifts the lens to the power that AI has and, even more so, the possibilities it entails. We are watching a part of history unfold, making us wonder if this is exciting or terrifying.
