Over the years, Studio Ghibli, led by Hayao Miyazaki, has developed a unique aesthetic, one that has found admirers from all around the world. Miyazaki’s frames are vivid in detail, dense in colour, that makes even the daily objects have a dream-like character.

Studio Ghibli productions focus on hand-painted and next to no digital assistance techniques. Even in an age where computer animation has taken over the world, Miyazaki’s work is distinct for the fact that behind each frame is the labour of a human illustrator, often Miyazaki himself.

Since not everyone is happy about the AI tool mis-using years of creative labour, including the Artist, Miyazaki himself. The frames have been taken from movies produced under the banner of Studio-Ghibli, like Spirited Away, The Wind rises and more.
