This unique exhibition showcases 24 remarkable drawings created by children from 24 government primary schools in Varanasi. The theme of the exhibition, “My Story,” encouraged each child to share a personal memory through their artwork, bringing to life their experiences and imaginations in a way that highlights the importance of mental synthesis and socio-emotional development.

Speaking about the exhibition’s objective, the Shuruart Foundation team shared, “We insist on giving our children mere instructions, and forget that educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. This is what Mahatma Gandhi believed in, and our goal is to help children develop both their emotional and intellectual capacities”.

The children whose works are featured come from marginalized communities, and this platform offers them a significant boost in confidence. One proud parent shared, “I am filled with pride knowing that my son’s drawing is being respected and exhibited this way.”
