KHUSHII NGO Presents Art Design Culture Collective
KHUSHII NGO has a much-anticipated curtain raiser for the Art Design Culture Collective. From 12th to 16th December 2024 at Bikaner House, this exclusive event promises to be a remarkable confluence of art, design and culture, supporting the future of Indian art while promoting meaningful philanthropy. The immersive four-day celebration will begin with invite-only events on the 12th and 14th of December, followed by open-to-the-public events on the 15th and 16th of December, offering an exceptional lineup of experiences.
What is the Art Design Culture Collective?
The ADC Collective is a boutique art event offering a curated and intimate experience, shining a spotlight on established and emerging Indian artists. The ADC Collective stands out for its focus on nurturing the Indian artisans of tomorrow and promoting their incredible craftsmanship. Additionally, the initiative supports KHUSHII NGO, with part of the proceeds dedicated to the education and empowerment of underprivileged communities in India.

Rahul Kumar, art curator, speaks of the event. He says, “What makes KHUSHII NGO’s ADC Collective truly extraordinary is its heart. It is not just about art; it is about supporting a meaningful cause. Moreover, it is a unique collaborative space where galleries, artists, artisans, designers and the community come together to celebrate creativity and connection.”
What to expect of ADCC at Bikaner House?
The event begins on the 12th evening with an exclusive inaugural gathering for key patrons, collectors and art connoisseurs. Highlights include a panel discussion with Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar on their cultural contributions to the nation, the book launch of The Serengeti: Wild Wonders of Africa by Rajan Kapoor with insights from Dr Rajiv Bhartari on wildlife conservation, and a talk by Sussanne Khan on her design journey. Vinita Karim and Karishma Swali will discuss art’s evolution over the past decade. Moderated by Rahul Kumar, the evening concludes with cocktails and dinner, celebrating art, culture and community.
The second private event, scheduled for 14th December, will feature creativity and celebration. The key elements include a VIP preview of the art showcase followed by a high tea. The event will feature a presentation on Rotary’s impactful social initiatives, led by the Rotary Club of Delhi Premier and the Delhi Premier Rotary Service Foundation. Adding a dynamic touch, there will be a live painting session by a surprise Bollywood celebrity, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, Chairman Emeritus of KHUSHII, esteemed artists M. Narayan and Bahaar Dhawan Rohatgi, all set against a backdrop of scintillating instrumental fusion music. This captivating prelude offers a glimpse into the upcoming India on Canvas auction, scheduled for April 2025. This exclusive evening promises a premium artistic experience, setting the stage for the public events to follow.
The ADC Collective opens its doors to the public on 15th December, offering an engaging day of artistic discovery and education. Highlights include a curated art show with participation from over 25 art galleries and around 100 artists from across India, featuring the “Echoes of Gold” exhibition, celebrating the gilded essence of Indian art. There will also be a special workshop for children and their parents, guided by professional artists, fostering creativity and an appreciation for art at a young age. Further, there will be a panel discussion on “Emerging Art – Opportunities and Challenges,” featuring leading gallerists, artists, and curators like Gayatri Singh (Art Incept), Sarovar Zaidi (Curator), Saloni Doshi (Space118) and Manisha Parekh (Artist, INLAKS Scholar and Trustee, Khoj).
The final day of the ADC Collective, 16th December, offers a thoughtfully curated show and engaging panel discussions. Highlights include “Supporting the Art Ecosystem – The Journey So Far and Way Ahead,” with distinguished speakers such as Saurabh Wasson (India Art Fair), Apurva Kackar (KNMA), Pooja Sood (Khoj) and Tarana Sawhney (FICA, CII Taskforce, Tate, KHUSHII Board); “Art, Design, Craft – Kala: The Indian Understanding of Creativity” with distinguished speakers such as Aman Nath (author, art Collector and KHUSHII Chief Patron), Mandira Lamba (Blueprint/TAF) and Isha Jajodia (Rose Room).
