Ranjit Balmuchu’s The Red Pavilion

With his landscape, The Red Pavilion, Balmuchy wants the viewer to be a quiet and still observer of a grand past. He puts history’s shaking foundation and life’s simplicity side by side. The over-arching narrative highlights transience and the subtle endurance of time.

Ranjit Balmuchu’s The Goats

The Goats reimagine landforms as crumpled paper. Nature merges with it in a precise geometry. The paper’s striking contrast with the folded goat-like imagery and the house’s white colour establishes a visual hierarchy.

Ranjit Balmuchu’s The Harvest

Ranjit Balmuchu’s The Harvest is an abstract landscape. The sky is dense with thick clouds, while the foreground is a field made of folded paper. These thick clouds disrupt the horizontal lines, created by the ground.
