Art Dubai 2025 Kicks Off with Energy, Innovation, and Urgency

The energy at Madinat Jumeirah feels both elevated and vast as the preview days of Art Dubai 2025, which will formally open from April 18 to 20, begin.

The preview days of Art Dubai 2025 are in full swing, and the atmosphere at Madinat Jumeirah is electric. Officially open from April 18–20, the 18th edition of the fair feels more ambitious than ever—transforming once again from a traditional art fair into a cultural engine that’s driving global conversations.

Walking through the halls of the Fair makes it clear: Art Dubai is not just showing art, it’s aiming to shape ideas. With over 120 galleries from around the world, the fair brings together a bold mix of contemporary and modern art, immersive digital works, large-scale  site-specific installations, and performance pieces that stretch the boundaries of form and meaning.

The Global Art Forum is back with exciting inventions in the art world. This year’s theme, The New New Normal, curated by Shumon Basar and Y7, dives into the accelerating impact of technology, politics, and aesthetics. Conversations feel immediate, alive, and deeply connected to the moment. Meanwhile, the Digital Summit’s second edition, as part of Art Dubai 2025 goes even deeper into AI, posthumanism, and the environmental realities of emerging tech—subjects that no longer feel futuristic but alarmingly current.

Bawwaba offers powerful solo projects from the Global South. Art Dubai Modern revisits pivotal post-war narratives and Cold War legacies. And Art Dubai Digital goes full throttle into new media—AI, blockchain, and immersive experiences that feel like a portal into the future.
