“Through my paintings, I explore themes of independence, self-actualization, and authenticity,” says Ritika Aurora. “My art serves as a voice that speaks to the transformative power of embracing one’s true self.”

Curatorial Perspective: Textures, Symbols, and Hope

Curator Georgina Maddox describes Ritika’s process as intuitive and experimental, starting with fluid ink washes and intricate textures—paisley, lace, and henna patterns. The use of gold leaf throughout her compositions symbolizes prosperity and radiance. Works such as the delicate paper boat amidst turbulent waters further highlight themes of hope and interconnectedness.

Ritika’s body of work invites viewers to reflect on the nurturing energies of nature and the feminine. Her art serves as a gentle yet powerful reminder to protect and celebrate these life-giving forces.
