This award is designed to nurture and promote critical writing in the field of visual arts. The selected candidate will receive a host of benefits, including:
- A research residency lasting up to 60 days at the enchanting Villa Sträuli in Winterthur, Switzerland. All expenses, including round-trip airfare, accommodation costs, a per diem, and travel allowances within Switzerland, will be fully covered.
- Guidance and mentorship from an experienced Swiss mentor, who will provide recommendations for individuals and spaces relevant to the recipient’s research field.
- Access and introductions to archives, museums, galleries, institutions, artists, writers, and curators, enabling a deep and immersive exploration of the Swiss art scene.
- The selected applicant is expected to contribute to the discourse by submitting a research paper for publication or proposing a curatorial project within three months of completing the residency.

- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Demonstrated proficiency and a track record in art research and writing are essential.
- Applicants should be available to attend the research residency in Switzerland.
