Introduction
In the picturesque landscape of Karma Lakelands, the 2023 Annual Art Symposium unfolded as a remarkable celebration of art, nature, and creativity. The words of Thomas Merton, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time,” beautifully encapsulated the spirit of this event. Artists from diverse backgrounds, each with their profound insights and unique perspectives, came together to create vibrant works of art that resonated with the core of their being.
A Gathering of Talent: Artists and Their Creations
The symposium featured a prestigious lineup of artists, including Padamshri Prof. Shyam Sharma, Kanu Patel, B.R. Bodare, Vijay Dhore, Priyanka Sinha, Kriti Saxena, Ranjit Sarkar, and Nawal Kishore, who also curated the festival. These artists brought a rich tradition of styles and experiences to the event, infusing their creations with a profound connection to their inner selves.
Moreover, in-house talents from Karma Lakelands, such as Training Manager Akansha, Front Office Manager Preeti, and Twinkle from Sales, joined the artistic festivities. Karma Lakelands has always been committed to nurturing the skills and talents of its team members, even beyond their usual roles. This symposium provided a platform for these talented women to shine, and their creativity enthralled both artists and attendees.
Camaraderie and Creativity: Artists Unite
The magic of the Annual Art Symposium extended beyond the canvas. Artists with diverse perspectives and unique styles found camaraderie by sharing their thoughts on art while dining and even during golf sessions. This unique interaction and exchange of ideas fostered a sense of community among the artists and contributed to the symposium’s overall success.
Nature’s Inspiration: The Beauty of Karma Lakelands
Karma Lakelands, with its breathtaking natural surroundings, served as the perfect backdrop for the artists. They discovered that the serene environment allowed them to create beautiful artworks in record time compared to their studios. The unique art forms and expressive images that emerged during the event captivated admirers.
On the final day of the symposium, the paintings were exhibited, followed by a felicitation by the management, recognising the artists’ exceptional work and contribution.
The Artists’ Voices: Reflections on the Symposium
Nawal Kishore shared his experience, saying, “The Art Symposium has been a unique experience for all of us. We got to spend our time amidst the bounty of nature that rejuvenated our souls and infused inspiration into our art. It was truly a phenomenal experience being with the world’s most talented artists and exchanging knowledge and creativity.”
Renowned artist Kanu Patel added, “The initiative for the Art Symposium taken by Karma Lakelands is truly commendable. The facilities and hospitality here are outstanding, and from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate the friendly gesture and interest that Mr. Bhisham has for art. If I talk about the ambiance, it is one of the most serene places in the world that inspired all of us in our work.”
A Vision Realised: The Organisers’ Perspective
Bhisham Chawla, the driving force behind the symposium, shared his thoughts, “It is a humbling and enriching process to plan the art symposium year after year. This year, we were happily surprised as so much in-house talent emerged. We are blessed to be living in a land as verdant as Karma and believe in giving back. Nature is both the strength and weakness of an artist; therefore, we plan this retreat to enable a rare experience and create a platform where artists can create and showcase their work. We shall continue to curate this festival and encourage creators across talents to participate and showcase their work.”
The 2023 Annual Art Symposium at Karma Lakelands was not just an event; it was a harmonious blend of art, nature, and the human spirit. The artists, with their unique perspectives and creative energy, left an indelible mark on this serene landscape, reminding us all of the transformative power of art and the beauty of the natural world.
