As the founder and chief interior designer a leading interior design firm in Rajkot, Gujarat, Shaily Ganatra and team and The Auura Interior Design Studio (founded in 2017) strive to nurture an atmosphere and working ambience that has the aim of building friendly, evergreen and timeless spaces. Shaily has been working in this sector since the last decade, and her firm provides creative interior solutions, specialising in residential, commercial and hospitality projects. While The Auura IDS has carved a name for itself in the field of property design via having successfully executed more than 100 outstanding projects till date, the firm also dabbles in projects on a monumental international scale in countries like Netherlands, Dubai, and Africa. Shaily believes that artwork is an extension of an artist’s soul, and art is a language or expression that gives satisfaction to life. She professes that art inspires her to go on, makes her feel liberated, heard and inspired. And, incidentally, art has taught her to code and decode her surroundings and provide the best to her clients. Shaily feels that art is a very integral part of interior design, which involves both art and science. It is the framework of a room, and her endeavour is always to create an aesthetic and pleasing environment in connection to both the artist and the client. According to Shaily, art teaches creativity, perception and discipline — as well as experimentation — and is often not just a way to showcase creative skills but also a medium to bring life into any space. Shaily strongly feels a client should be connected and their personality wired with any given artwork in a space — in the process, it falls on the designer to build a story. The key thing is to win the trust of the client, she professes, and asserts that art comes in-built with the design process.
