CIMA Art Mela: Envisioning Accessibility

CIMA Art Mela was started fifteen years ago by CIMA (Centre of International Modern Art) Kolkata, with a clear aim – to make art affordable (Think `5,000 – `4,95,000!)  and distribute the quality works of India’s top artists across homes.

The Art Fair was conceptualised with the idea of making art accessible to a  wider; deeper audience with an aim to bring art back into the lives of the middle class which has traditionally shown an awareness of and a love for the arts.
