Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art Announces Inaugural Art Fair

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is set to host its first annual Art Fair from October 4-6, promising a vibrant celebration of art, craft, and community. This inaugural event will feature an array of exceptional craftspeople alongside live music, diverse cuisine, and local community partners.

Kicking off with a special opening reception on Friday night, the fair will offer attendees the chance to engage with modern, traditional, and emerging artists from across the country. The Art Fair will be held outdoors along the picturesque Crystal Bridges Art Trail, showcasing a variety of artworks including ceramics, textiles, wood, glass, drawings, paintings, jewelry, and sculpture.

The event, which is free and open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, will cater to both seasoned art enthusiasts and newcomers alike. In addition to browsing and purchasing art, visitors can explore the museum’s current exhibitions, participate in a dedicated kids’ art section, and enjoy live art demonstrations, music, and food trucks.

The Friday night opening reception will be a ticketed affair featuring a meet-and-greet with the artists, gourmet culinary experiences, and live music set against the backdrop of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Bachman-Wilson House. Tickets for the reception and further details are available at CrystalBridges.org/ArtFair.

The Crystal Bridges Art Fair will spotlight the work of a diverse group of artists, including Cathy Abercrombie from Jay, Okla.; Lynn Armstrong from Dallas, Texas; Cindy Aune from Oxford, Miss.; and many more. The full list of participating artists also includes Mary Lou Christie from Tahlequah, Okla.; Mark McMahon from Sugar Land, Texas; and Taylor Winn from Austin, Texas, among others.
