Artists Reimagine Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

On the 76th Republic Day of India, it is helpful to remember the Architect of Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R Ambedkar. His image upholds the values of the Constitution itself. As the icon who drafted the Constitution, his image stands in for his ideology.

Dr. B.R Ambedkar has been represented by various contemporary artists in India, both, in Illustrations and Paintings. His portraits and images are used as a symbol of Ambedkarite consciousness and activism against oppressive regimes. Here is a list of a few artists who have explored the theme in their works.
