13 Golden Doors, Nighttime Illumination, and Elaborate Sculptures Mark Final Preparations for Historic Event
In a momentous development on Tuesday, the first ‘Swarn Dwar’ (Golden Gate) was successfully installed at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, setting the stage for a grand inauguration. An enthralling picture of the newly adorned gate, featuring two welcoming elephants, servants, and intricate artwork, has taken social media platforms by storm.
The Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, responsible for overseeing the temple’s construction, shared illuminated images of the temple at night, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of deities, gods, and goddesses adorning pillars and walls. Among the highlights were pictures of the Jatayu sculpture, a significant figure from the Ramayana.
Constructed in the traditional Nagara style, the Ram Mandir stands as a three-storied shrine, boasting dimensions of 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height. The temple features 392 pillars, 44 doors, and five Mandaps – Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prarthna, and Kirtan Mandaps.
With preparations in full swing, the ‘pran-prathistha’ ceremony for Ram Lalla in the newly built temple is scheduled for January 22. The entrance gate is adorned with idols of elephants, lions, Lord Hanuman, and Garuda, the ‘vahana’ of Lord Vishnu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the historic occasion, attending the inauguration of the Ram temple on January 22. Scheduled to perform rituals in the sanctum sanctorum at approximately 12.15 pm, the event marks a significant milestone in the construction and realisation of the long-awaited Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
