Renowned artist G R Iranna was honoured with the prestigious Society Achievers Award 2023 at a star-studded ceremony held at the Taj, Santacruz. The event celebrated Iranna’s exceptional contributions to the world of Visual Arts. The Society Achievers Award 2023, a testament to his artistic prowess, was presented in the presence of luminaries from Bollywood, Corporate, Music, and various other fields.
In response to the accolade, Iranna expressed his belief in the individual’s freedom to interpret art, emphasising the importance of personal connections with the audience. He highlighted the communicative essence of his work, stating that the interaction and interpretation by viewers bring his art to life.
Having exhibited globally since 1992, from top art galleries in Delhi and Mumbai to international locations like London, Cairo, and Hong Kong, Iranna sees himself as a mirror reflecting childhood, society, nature, and surroundings. He draws inspiration from eminent artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Pablo Picasso, and Paul Klee.
