World Auction Record for a Modern Indian Painting Renowned artist S.H. Raza’s masterpiece fetched a staggering 51.75 crore (6.27 million USD), establishing a new world auction record for Modern Indian Painting.
World Auction Record for a Modern Indian Sculpture Tyeb Mehta‘s exceptional sculpture fetched an impressive 14.95 crore (1.76 million USD), setting a new world auction record for Modern Indian Sculpture.
World Auction Record for F.N. Souza The auction featured F.N. Souza‘s powerful work titled “Hunger,” which garnered a remarkable 34.5 crore (4.18 million USD), marking a new world auction record for the artist.
Exceptional Prices for Prominent Artists The auction also saw exceptional prices achieved for works by other prominent artists, including:
- Arpita Singh’s artwork sold for a remarkable 12.65 crore (1.5 million USD).
- Somnath Hore’s piece fetched 1.95 crore (237,000 USD).
- Jeram Patel’s artwork was sold for 69 lakh (83,000 USD).
- An early canvas by Tyeb Mehta from 1962 commanded an impressive 11.5 crore (1.39 million USD).

A Sketchbook from 1961 by the renowned artist F.N. Souza achieved over 5 times its low estimate, selling for 3.68 crore (445,000 USD).
