Serendipity Arts Festival’s Sixth Edition Spotlights Inclusivity and Regional Projects

Goa is eagerly preparing to host the much-awaited sixth edition of the Serendipity Arts Festival, set to take place from December 15 to 23. This edition of the festival is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and featuring region-specific projects, as well as workshops designed for individuals with special needs. Furthermore, a dedicated segment with children’s programs will ensure a delightful experience for young attendees. The festival will unfold across multiple venues, including the Old GMC Complex, the Art Park, and Nagalli Hills Ground, among others.

The Serendipity Arts Festival serves as a vibrant amalgamation of creative collaborations between renowned cultural institutions and the cultural departments of foreign embassies. This year’s edition boasts prestigious project partners such as Institut Français (India), Pro Helvetia, and the British Council. The festival will showcase projects in collaboration with these esteemed institutions, resulting in a diverse and captivating artistic experience.

The craft section of the festival will be curated by Sandeep Kumar Sangaru and Anjana Somany, who will showcase the exquisite craftsmanship inherent to the region. Their curation will shine a spotlight on traditional crafts and skilled artisans, offering them a platform to share their remarkable work with a wider audience. Quasar Thakore Padamsee will take charge of the theater segment, infusing it with his artistic vision and delivering a diverse range of theatrical performances that will undoubtedly captivate festival-goers.

Undoubtedly, food plays an indispensable role in the Serendipity Arts Festival. For this edition, Chef Thomas Zacharias and the Locavore Team will curate a gastronomic journey that celebrates the interconnection between people and cultures. The music section, curated by Bickram Ghosh and Ricky Kej, promises to be a highlight of the festival. They have meticulously assembled a diverse lineup of concerts spanning various genres, ensuring that every musical taste is catered to and embraced. Meanwhile, Geeta Chandran and Mayuri Upadhyay will combine their talents to curate classical, experimental, and contemporary dance performances and workshops, enriching the festival’s offerings with their remarkable artistry.
