Banyan Tree house is a residence anchored and planned around an existing Banyan tree. Spatial zoning of the residence closely resembles the branches and roots of the tree. Presence of the Banyan tree generates a series of interactive spaces for people, flora and fauna. Birds of Banyan are an attempt to create a visually stimulating installation that can be used as a ground cover. Use of pale colors on the concrete birds is a node to the calmness and serenity one feels under the shade of a gentle giant.
