Tales of Fearlessness at Luna Arts

Recently, Luna Arts has launched a captivating new exhibition at the Palm Court Gallery, India Habitat Centre, called “Nirbhay”. This exhibition showcases an incredible array of artwork in various mediums, skillfully capturing the essence of life’s most significant aspects. The group exhibition consists of works that vary in terms of their style and the way their presentation has been creatively done. The exhibition focuses on attaining the lost human emotions with variants that lead to the critical examination of human values on the ground level. Both figurative and abstract works were exhibited, together they created an illusion of self-satisfaction and reflected upon the ideas of exploring the self in the material world. The title “Nirbhay” also alludes to the boldness of the artists as they fearlessly express the ideas that reside within their hearts, without concern for societal judgment. The work consists feeling of completeness and breaks the boundaries of fear within themselves. Undoubtedly, the exhibition provides a profound exploration of life’s essence that must be experienced with the utmost creativity to fully grasp its significance effectively.

The founder director of Luna Arts, Smita shared her process, “We got the registration for this show last year, but we couldn’t do it then, so now we’re doing it. So, this show is like, we are featuring 34 artists from all over the country and most of them are from the southern part of the country. The selection process was quite extensive, as we conducted multiple levels of interviews and evaluations. It’s not just based on the artwork alone, you see. Of course, the initial stage involves reviewing the artwork and resume, but after that, we take the artists through a thorough interview process. We do this because we truly want to understand and appreciate the artist on a deeper level. We’re very glad to organize this exhibition at the India Habitat Centre. Though we have both traditional and contemporary art our main focus is on the latter one. We focus on surreal, intuitive, and abstract works. The experience of organizing our exhibition here is perfect. This is one of the most happening places in Delhi.”

The exhibition reflects the hidden truths of the artists, some of them chose mythological and religious themes whereas many of them went for abstract ways. The works were meticulously done, and the detailing is something one should praise. While certain traditional figurative works may have failed to evoke a sense of reflection, the mesmerizing combination of strokes and colours was more than capable of captivating the gaze. Certain motifs were embedded in the works to ignite the idea of authenticity in terms of style and forms. Some of the artists played with the color and some of them chose to keep their palette simple and experimented with the shapes instead. It’s a must-visit exhibition for anyone who is looking for a new art experience in Delhi.
