The Art of Jane Waterous in 10 Pictures

Jane Waterous, born in Canada in 1959, embarked on a remarkable artistic journey. At prestigious schools like Queens University, OCAD University, Sheridan College, and New York University, she refined her skills. She started out as a creative director for multi-media projects before moving on to direct, produce, and edit short films, garnering praise at international film festivals. She moved to the Bahamas in 1998, where her new environment and family served as inspiration for her contemporary art, which focuses on Love, Life, Laughter, and Family.

Jane uses a variety of media and techniques in her work, such as the Morse Series, which transforms meaningful phrases into 3-D Morse Code artwork. Her “Into the Blue” series immerses viewers in vibrant images of toddlers playing on blue backgrounds. Her Harmony Series is inspired by her trips in Asia, while The Resination Series uses resin and acrylic in a distinctive way. Her renowned Gatherings Series captures the spirit of joy and community and embodies human connection. Internationally recognised, Jane’s work may be seen in opulent hotels, corporate collections, and the residences of royal families.
