In a recent development, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled a monumental tribute to Adi Shankaracharya, the ‘Ekatmata Ki Pratima’ or ‘Statue of Oneness,’ in Omkareshwar. This 108-foot tall statue is a testament to the life and philosophy of this great sage.

The ‘Ekatmata Ki Pratima’ stands proudly on the Mandhata mountain in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh. The state cabinet’s approval for this project last year reflects a commitment to honouring the legacy of Adi Shankaracharya and promoting his teachings.

During the inauguration, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised the spiritual significance of Adi Shankaracharya’s teachings. He offered prayers at the site and expressed, “There is auspiciousness and auspiciousness only in the feet of Acharya Shankar, animated with spiritual energy. The sun of welfare for the entire world lies in the auspicious thoughts of Advaita.” Omkareshwar, situated on the picturesque banks of the Narmada River, is approximately 80 kilo meters from the city of Indore.
