Tropical Architect

A residential villa in Perinthalmanna, Malappuram combines modernity with tradition, incorporating elements of tropical architecture and following the traditional layout of a Kerala house. The design includes a central courtyard and a wraparound verandah. The villa aims to create a harmonious blend of rustic and contemporary elements while maintaining a tropical aesthetic. The design features verandahs and transition spaces for gatherings, with thatched roofs to prevent rainwater from entering the house. The indoors are kept cool with red oxide flooring and insulated roofs. The design also includes modern elements such as voids, exposed concrete, and projecting bricks.
