Aman Kumar Bavariya, a talented artist hailing from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is currently pursuing his Masters in Fine Arts at the Government College of Fine Arts in Jabalpur. Bavariya’s fascination with colours is evident in his penchant for making monochrome paintings, and meticulously studying the nuances of various shades.
In his artwork, Bavariya draws inspiration from everyday objects and experiences, ranging from landscapes to menstrual cups, pads, and tampons. He portrays female figures in various positions, symbolising different facets of womanhood and challenging societal norms surrounding menstruation and womanhood. Over the span of four years, Bavariya’s art has evolved to portray menstruation’s historical care juxtaposed with modern misconceptions. His paintings celebrate women’s beauty and empowerment, using flowers as symbols of purity and joy to combat stigma associated with menstruation.
Through his artwork, Bavariya aims to provoke conversations and introspection on topics often considered taboo. He employs symbolism extensively, integrating natural elements and cultural motifs to convey the emotional depth of womanhood.
