Atelier Noir’s Rahul Nair is based out of Kochi but has accomplished work ranging across India and the Middle East. His architecture is socially responsible and ethical — it carries art at its very core. Nair strongly believes that art awareness in India needs to be cultivated, to prevent the loss of an entire culture’s history. He also feels Covid has accelerated the niche created for art, with more people trying to make their surroundings reflect themselves, and shifting the industry from the physical paradigm of galleries and auctions to digital platforms.
