Art of Asia online auction at Christie’s

One of the oldest fine art auction houses in the world, Christie’s has been selling fine art, furniture, jewellery, and wine since James Christie held the inaugural sale on 5 December 1766 in London. Ever since Christie’s has built a reputation in the world of art as a reliable and excellent auction house. Christie’s will be hosting an online auction ‘Art of Asia’ from 6th-20th June 2023 in Paris, France, accompanied by an advance viewing from 10th– 14th June 2023. The auction will be conducted under the guidance of Tiphaine Nicoul, the Head of Department, Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art, Christie’s.

Christie’s is a connoisseur when it comes to dealing with Asian art. In fact, they frequently host auctions of Asian artworks. Just recently, Christie’s had concluded another online auction ‘Arts of Asia Online’ from the 15th-29th March 2023, which went down as another resounding success with a sale total of USD 1,706,544. A carefully chosen collection of artworks from India, Japan, Korea the Himalayas, China and was featured at the auction. In addition to furniture, jade carvings, textiles, lacquerwares, bronze sculptures, pottery, metalwork, stone sculpture, prints, and paintings, the sale also offered a large variety of works in numerous other mediums.
