In an effort to celebrate Nagaland’s cultural diversity and artistic heritage, a series of dynamic handloom expos are set to take place during the 2023-2024 financial year. These inspiring events have been made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (NHHDC) is thrilled to extend an invitation to all art and craft enthusiasts nationwide. A Platform for Artisans and Craftspeople

The NHHDC is dedicated to providing a platform where artisans and craftspeople can showcase their talents and traditional craftsmanship. These expos represent a unique opportunity to celebrate Nagaland’s rich cultural heritage while promoting the state’s handloom and handicraft industries. Participation Criteria

The NHHDC warmly welcomes diverse participants to join in the celebration of Nagaland’s art and culture. If you belong to any of the following categories, we encourage you to apply for participation:

Co-operative Societies: Organisations engaged in collaborative efforts within the handloom and handicraft sector.

Producer Companies: Entities involved in the production and promotion of handloom and handicraft products.

Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Small community-based groups actively engaged in handloom and handicraft activities.

Federations: Associations that unite artisans and craftspeople for collective growth and development.

Apex Societies: Top-tier organizations representing various handloom and handicraft groups.

Handloom & Handicrafts Agencies: Agencies dedicated to the development and promotion of handloom and handicrafts, including silk weavers, jute artisans, and the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

Application Process

Interested participants are requested to submit their applications directly to the Project Cell at NHHDC Ltd, located in Half Nagarjan, Dimapur. The applications should include essential information such as:

  • Comprehensive contact details, including mobile numbers.
  • Bank Account Number along with the IFSC code to facilitate financial transactions.

Expo Details

The handloom expos are scheduled to take place at the following locations and dates:

Dimapur

  • First Expo: October 9 to 22, 2023, with the final submission date being October 5, 2023.
  • Second Expo: February 16 to 29, 2024, with the final submission date set for February 12, 2024.

Phek

  • Expo Date: December 5 to 18, 2023, and the last submission date is December 2, 2023.

Kohima

  • Expo Date: March 5 to 18, 2024, with the last submission date falling on March 1, 2024.
